Estate Services
Administration of an estate can be a lengthy process with numerous aspects and we are here to help.
Estate administration can include: making funeral arrangements; identifying, securing and liquidation of assets; identifying and paying debts and/or claims against the estate; filing tax returns; notification of death to required organizations, account holders and services; identifying, locating and distributing the balance of the estate to the rightful intestate successors and/or beneficiaries.
ESTATE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
There are several reasons that individuals may require Estate Management Services:
Executor is out of area or country
Executor does not have sufficient amount of time required to devote
Executor is not physically or emotionally able to tend to matters
Executor is unwilling or unable to do it
Executor is inexperienced and requires assistance
EXECUTOR ASSISTANCE SERVICES
It can at times be overwhelming to deal with an estate on your own. Okanagan Senior Services is available to assist appointed Executor’s with all levels of the process including:
Completion and submission of paperwork to appropriate agencies/organizations/services both federal and provincial
Liquidation of assets with funds transferred to the estate
Location of heirs and transfer of willed items to such.
EXECUTOR SERVICES
There are times when someone making their will has no one to appoint as Executor. Okanagan Senior Services can take on this role to ensure that your wishes are fulfilled.
Executor Services can include:
Administrating the estate of a deceased person; acting as curator for a missing heir
Assisting with Trustee Appointment of a personal trust
Administration of expenses to be paid by the estate
Filing taxes and required paperwork submissions and
Securing, moving, liquidating or maintaining property, storage of personal items
